Prayer and the Battle for Lost Souls

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Eph 6:12 NIV

• We believe that God hears and answers prayer. Mark 11:23-24; James 1:5-6;
• We believe that prayer and God's Word are the vital links in communication between God and us. Luke 6:12; Mark 1:35; Luke 5:16
• We belief it is the Holy Spirit who draws people to saving faith in Jesus Christ. God has chosen us to be His vessels in intercessory prayer for salvation on behalf of others as well as His mouthpiece to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. As a result, we believe effective evangelism is only possible when joined with much prayer. John 17:20; Heb 7:25
• We believe the battles are fought in the heavenly realms. Our greatest weapon in this spiritual warfare is prayer. Eph 6:12
• We believe that prayer should be continual and without ceasing. I Thess 5:17; 2 Thess 1:11; Acts 1:14; Eph 6:18; Col 1:9
• We believe we are to pray for everyone. Matt 5:44; Luke 6:28; James 5:16; I Tim 2:1-8
• We believe in the power of prayer. Mark 11:23-24; James 5:15

• Our Grace Extended Ministries US and Canada prayer team headed by Peter Carlson meets via conference call every Tuesday night at 5:00 pm (Pacific Time) for one hour to pray for lost souls and over the needs of our ministry and any other needs that come our way.
• Our other international intercessory prayer teams in Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, and India, meet weekly at various times.
• For serious immediate needs we connect with a larger worldwide intercessory team base. Several of our team members also serve as a part of this larger worldwide team.
• Three times a year our staff meets to pray over the needs of those connected with Grace Extended Ministries International who send in requests for that purpose. Our team has been known to pray for hours into the night.

• Grace Extended Ministries seeks to train and educate nations in Kingdom prayer (Matt 6:33). In every nation where we have a long term presence, we require an intercessory prayer team.

• Grace Extended Ministries has participated in several workshops leadership trainings, and conferences worldwide, speaking on various topics of Prayer and Evangelism. We are currently working with More Than Gold and other arms of major Christian Sporting Ministries to promote training of pastors and laity in large scale prayer and evangelism ahead of Olympic, World Cup, and other major sporting events. We are also working with pastors to bring prayer conferences into major cities.
