Many people have been asking about how they can pray during the Winter Olympics which will be taking place in Vancouver, B.C. Canada February 12-28.
Grace Extended Ministries along with the Ottawa based National House of Prayer in Canada, More Than Gold, and Barnabas and Keats Camp, have been asked to coordinate an international prayer base during the time of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
We are seeking the help from intercessors worldwide. Please consider how the Lord might be calling you to prayer during this pivotal time.

KEATS ISLAND INTERNATIONAL PRAYER CENTRE
 The Call: We invite intercessors throughout the world to come to the Vancouver area during the Winter Olympics (Feb. 12-28, 2010) to join in prayer for God's purposes during this critical time. Come for any portion of this time period as we intercede for this strategic gateway city, its call to the nations, and the specific opportunity for outreach that the Church in the Vancouver region is rising up to meet.
The Vision: The Keats Island International Prayer Centre is a short term effort to mobilize intercessory prayer support for the Vancouver region, Canada, the U.S., and the nations during the Winter Olympics from Feb 12 - 28, 2010. We will be in constant communication with the many outreach efforts taking place at Olympic sites, and using a "live feed" to stay connected to the worship events each night. A seasoned leadership team will provide a variety of forms and opportunities for focused prayer throughout each day using prayer watches, prayer stations and at times commissioning prayer teams to specific tasks.
Location: Keats Island is located in Howe Sound, approximately 15 miles (24 kilometres) northwest of Vancouver, opposite the town of Gibsons on the Sechelt Peninsula. Travel time is as little as 15 minutes by seaplane or a maximum of 1 hour by ferry and/or charter boat from the BC Ferry terminal of Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. Using the facilities of both Keats Camps and Barnabas Family Ministries on Keats Island, we will provide meals, beds, and transportation in one of Canada's most beautiful locations.
Application Process: We do ask you to fill out a one page application. We will try to reply with an approval in 48 hours after receiving the application. Accomodation charges will not be processed until the approval is given. Please download application here |
